The publication is a sort of livre d’artiste. Within that artistic genre, the tone is set by the artist, but here, there are two authors and they both share equal rights. The poet Igor Guberman and the artist Boris Zhutovsky chose one another long ago and their friendship has continued for several decades. The poet lives in Jerusalem while the artist lives in Moscow, but this does not hinder their collaborative work. The creative process was two-sided: the poetry was written from impressions given by paintings and drawings, while some of the drawings were created for already-existing poems.
