12-13 September 2016, Yaroslavl State University held an international conference entitled "The role of printed media in forming national identity in Russia and Britain" which was supported by the IN ARTIBUS foundation

The conference was attended by historians and art historians from Yaroslavl State University, The Cambridge Courtauld Russian Art Center, the Faculty of History of the Moscow State University, The Courtauld Institute of Art in London, as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences and a number of Russian and British museums.

Speakers presented the results of their research on the history of exhibitions and print media as agents of intercultural dialogue and catalysts for the process of national identity formation in Russia and Britain.
