'Mikhail Roginsky. Beyond the Red Door' exhibition at Venice Architecture Biennale 2014
A solemn opening of the exhibition 'Mikhail Roginsky. Beyond the Red Door', organized by Mikhail Roginsky Foundation together with CSAR Research Centre on Russian Culture and Arts with the support of the IN ARTIBUS foundation took place in Ca' Foscari Esposizioni on Friday, June 6.
The exhibition has become the first project publicly presented by Mikhail Roginsky Foundation. Being a part of the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale. it is a great opportunity for the Fund to declare its status as an international art institution and thus confirm the status of Mikhail Roginsky as an artist of world-wide reputation.
The exhibition displays 120 Parisian works by Roginsky allocated in 8 sections: "Alphabet of Two-dimentionality", "Interior. Landscape. Figure in Space", "Combating Art", "Dimension of Emptiness", "Archeology of Construction", "The Fabric", "Object and Form", "Returned Painting".
The project is first to present Roginsky's Parisian period so fully with the main emphasis on fundamental aspects of the art of painting and the structural concepts inherent to it: color, shape, construction.
