Exhibition catalogue. 2022

The formal reason for the publication of the catalogue was the exhibition “Vladimir Weisberg. Nothing but Harmony”, who worked at the In artibus Foundation from January to July 2019. The exhibition was created on the mutual initiative of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, which has the most complete collection of works by Vladimir Weisberg among Russian museums, and Inna Bazhenova — as a collector with the most extensive private collection of the artist’s works. In total, more than 100 works of the master from the museum’s funds and the collection of Inna Bazhenova were exhibited in the halls of the In artibus Foundation. The organizers of the exposition decided not to make an exhibition catalogue, but to direct their efforts to prepare a catalogue-the reason for the collection of Vladimir Weisberg, stored at the State Museum of Fine Arts.

The book is published in Russian and consists of three sections: painting, drawing and the legacy of Vladimir Weisberg. The latter contains articles by Anna Chudetskaya “The Space of light: the collection of works by Vladimir Weisberg in the department of personal collections”, Oleg Antonov “Drawings of Weisberg”, Elena Rudenko “Vladimir Weisberg in the collection of Inna Bazhenova”, Tatiana Dobrovinskaya-Vladimirova “Vladimir Weisberg School of Painting”.

The Vladimir Weisberg Foundation, a non–profit organization created to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Russian artist Vladimir Grigoryevich Weisberg, also worked on the publication. The Foundation carries out humanitarian, educational and charitable cultural projects.

The presentation of the publication took place on October 20, 2022 in the space of the In artibus Foundation.
